Poplar
Northeast of Broad & Spring Garden — North Broad landmarks, PhilaMOCA, and residential blocks between Spring Garden and Girard.
Poplar sits north of Spring Garden and east of Broad, stretching toward Girard and 5th Street. From the NE corner you are pointed at The Met, the Divine Lorraine, and the Broad Street venues that bookend a night out. Lu Lu Temple’s onion domes once rose just north of this corner on the east–west Spring Garden view. A few blocks farther east, PhilaMOCA and Next In Line Comedy pull the neighborhood into Spring Arts.
It is more residential than Callowhill’s loft grid: rowhouses and infill, with commercial frontage on Broad and Girard. Cicala and Sorellina inside the Divine Lorraine are the destination dinner walk. The 14th Ward RCO is a useful civic bookmark if you live in this quadrant.
