- Gas — Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) Many loft conversions and older buildings use PGW. Confirm whether your unit is gas or electric with building management.
- Internet / Fiber Newer loft developments and modern towers often have Fios and/or Xfinity available. Check address eligibility before signing ISP contracts; some buildings have exclusive or preferred providers.
- Trash & Recycling Follow city pickup schedules for your exact block. Blue-bin recycling, bulk-item disposal, and street placement times are enforced — use Philly 311 for schedule lookups and bulk requests.

- Grocery GIANT at Broad & Spring Garden for daily needs; Aldi on Fairmount Avenue; PHMC Pharmacy on Callowhill; CVS farther west on Fairmount. Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods via a short bike or BSL ride; Reading Terminal Market ~4 stops south.
- Coffee & quick bites Café Lift, local delis, and independent shops along Spring Garden Street and into Spring Arts.
- Fitness Clubs on Broad, specialty studios in Spring Arts, and running routes to the Schuylkill River Trail via Spring Garden Street.

- Police districts The area sits near 9th Police District (Fairmount / Spring Garden) and 6th District boundaries. Use your address on the city’s district lookup for the correct station.
